Junior Category: anyone under the age of 14
Senior Category: anyone between the ages of 14 - 21
With both a Junior and Senior category, this contest is open to the public with awards being presented on both the local and state level. The rules of this contest are as follows:
A contestant may submit only one garment
2. Each garment must have a completed registration form, a copy of the pattern envelope, if used, and must email three digital pictures of the contestant or another individual wearing the garment. These pictures will be used in the Fashion Design Contest power point show at the Spring NJDAR Awards meeting. Your contest entry indicates that the NJDAR is permitted to use your images in this show. This is the only purpose for these images and will not appear anywhere else. They will not be used to judge the garments. Do not send printed photos; they are not acceptable for this requirement.
Teachers, leaders and parents may provide instruction, but the student must do the actual construction.
Send garments folded flat in a box for easier return shipment. Do not include dress forms or hangers.
To be eligible, the piece may not have previously won an award in another contest.
