Join the Somerset County 4-H Teen Night on March 27th, hosted by the youth representatives of the Somerset County 4-H Association. This is a great moment to get together with your 4-H friends and connect with other teens in Somerset County 4-H. There will be music, food, games and fun socializing.

Open to Grades 7-13

Hands-on workshops in the following tracks: Equine, Dairy, Small Ruminant (Goats and Sheep), and often Rabbits as well. Sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture Junior Breeder Program in cooperation with Rutgers Cooperative Extension faculty and staff.

Express your love of horses through various art projects and presentations

This event is designed to allow participants to create a dish from a secret ingredient in a limited amount of time and present it for evaluation. Open to grades 4th- 13th.

Each session will provide an opportunity to network with volunteers across the region and discover new activities and ideas to enliven your work with youth.

4-H Youth in grades 6-8 are invited to participate in this introuductory leadership conference. You will meet new people, have fun and develop leadership and personal developments skills that can be put to use at home, school, 4-H and your local community!

The Lucky Clover Tricky Tray is returning again in 2022 and will no doubt host a variety of amazing prizes available to win. As always, all proceeds go towards supporting The Somerset County 4-H Association.

Focused on fun, interactive games - join the Somerset County 4-H Association Teen Committee for their monthly Virtual Teen Social. Open to teens in grades 6-12, this is a great way to meet new people and make some friends while playing games both online and on your phone.

Have you ever thought to publish your own writing? In partnership with John Wiley, and Son. youth are invited to learn about the process of publishing, careers in publishing and will work on a team to publish their own product!

The theme of this year’s CWF will be “Youth Voice.” Youth will explore topics such as Civil Discourse, Informed Decision Making, Media Literacy, and discuss methods to assess the needs in their community and identify the best ways for young people to affect change.

Join us for an interactive virtual workshop on worms. Have you ever wondered about worms? Learn all about the benefit of worms in a garden and how they play an important role in creating compost to add nutrition to soil and grow healthier plants.

Open to Public • Grades 2-4

Over the course of four, one-hour workshops via Zoom, participants will learn what food allergies are, why allergic reactions occur, and how they can keep friends with food allergies safe, all while engaging in a hands-on baking experience!

Activities will include backyard bird Identification, scavenger hunts, nature themed arts & crafts, exotic feeder and nesting camera observation, DIY bird feeder creations, get to know raptors, and how dinosaurs & birds are related.
