Every year we celebrate a wide variety of events for both 4-H members and the general public with a focus on being educational, community driven, and fun for all who attend. New events are always being added so be sure to check back regularly or follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to see which events are being added.
Interested in supporting the Somerset County 4-H Association? Every year they host exciting and fun fundraisers such as the Rummage Sale and Wreath Sale to help support Somerset County 4-H. To learn more about what the Somerset County 4-H Association does and its goals here.

4-H Family Camp Weekend begins Friday evening with check-in, snack and welcome, and ends on Sunday at noon after breakfast and cleanup.
There are LOTS of activities to choose from including:

TOPS (Totally Outrageous Program for Summer) is a 5-day week of fun, friends, and fascination! With a combination of outdoors activities, educational workshops, experiments with science, and making new friends - this is the perfect summer day camp!
Enjoy a day with the Somerset County 4-H Trainmasters. Watch as they fill our entire gymnasium with trains, dioramas and more! This wonderful event is fun for the entire family and train lovers of all ages.
Open only to those 4-H members who are in 8th grade and above and receive a blue ribbon in their county presentation program
Somerset County 4-H families are invited to L.G. Cook Camp for a weekend of hiking, archery, boating, fishing, crafts, games, a campfire with s’mores, and more! What a great way to relax and meet other 4-H’ers and their families.

Attention all 4-H Clubs - we need your help!
We are partnering with the Franklin Township Youth Center to collect donations for the Franklin Township Pop Up Food Pantry. The collection box in in the 4-H Center Lobby and will be there for a while. We are looking for clubs to sign up for a month and be responsible for making sure there are donations that month. Of course, everyone can donate at any time! But we want to make sure it will never be empty.
What month will your club take?
Igniting Your Leadership Potential Certificate in Leadership Development is a series of online leadership courses offered by the NJ 4‑H Youth Development Program and taught by 4‑H faculty. Youth in grades 8–13 can register for a variety of courses that will provide opportunities to learn about leadership, gain knowledge, sharpen their skills, and prepare to lead.

With such beautiful weather this summer, join Jody Austin from the Somerset County Parks Commission as she spotlights some great places for walking, hiking, riding your bike, or even kayaking! This is perfect for anyone looking to get a little more active outside this summer.
Focused on fun, interactive games - join the Somerset County 4-H Association Teen Committee for their monthly Virtual Teen Social. Open to teens in grades 6-12, this is a great way to meet new people and make some friends while playing games both online and on your phone.
We’ll be asking for you to help us continue the story through three chapters throughout the year. The best stories for each chapter will be turned into videos that will be part of an epic, interactive “create your own adventure” video this fall! And of course, each finalist will receive a $50 Schleich prize package!
Meet and interact with kids from Azerbaijan! Learn about their culture and country! We’ll be making different foods from our countries and talking about iconic destinations and sharing music. Learn some Azerbaijani words and make new friends from around the globe.
Come enjoy a beautiful day in the park with children’s author Diana Lee Santamaria, hosted by the Somerset County 4-H SACH club and the Somerset County Library System. There will be a live reading, arts and crafts, a bubble show, and personal tours of the brand new SACH Story Brook Trail.
Join Somerset County 4-H healthy living coordinator Jennifer Korneski as she shows you how to make a delicious and healthy iced tea, just in time for summer and sunny days at the beach.
In this STEP photography club, you will learn tips and ideas to help you become a better photographer. Topics include, for example, f stops, shutter speeds, depth of field and composition. Bring to the club a camera with changeable settings or a smart phone with optional apps. Come explore your creativity through your photographer’s lens! Sessions will run June 7–28 from 3–4 pm.
Hosted by New Jersey 4-H Teens and created by Somerset County 4-H members, this multi-state teen social night will be a great way to meet new friends from across the state and around the world. The night will include games, opportunities to learn about each other, and an overall laid back atmosphere to hang out.
